It's fully compliant for PC use and it works great. Logitech Logitech USB Vantage Headset for PlayStation 2 and PlayStation3 The best headset for general computing/online I've ever had was this one: If you only have 2.0, you might be able to get around that with a 3.0 compliant hub. For instance, it might require the power output of a USB 3.0 instead of a USB 2.0 port. Also, it may help to be sure you're using the right USB version for it. Odd, since they make some of the best boom-mic headsets around and have been doing so for decades. I've only had issues like that with a Plantronics headset. Should I return G230? (and buy something else in $70 range) My crappy USB mic sound(ed) louder, even if I sounded like a Terminator. Did I miss something and we suddenly started using microphones with amplifiers?. but honestly, that just seems super weird to me. After a second of adjusting, there was no noise. then turn on two noise suppression settings in RealTek. boost the mic to maximum, which created a lot of noise switch to the highest of DVD frequency/quality of the mic ("Studio" higher frequency/quality is way too noisy) some fault voltage in the "pink" microphone port (which I dont see what I can do about) some blame RealTek drivers some say to plug into Line In instead (not sure why).Īfter about an hour, I came up with config where my voice (if to listen back to it), comes out at about medium volume (based on my middle volume setting), with everything cranked up. I almost thought to return it - a faulty mic perhaps? But then I read a bit online and there's a lot of posts. Oddly enough, the microphone is way too quite, a suspiciously too quiet. All I really need from that headset is for a sound to come out, and for a sound to come in (into the mic).
